I’m a Calgary Interior Decorator, blogger, DIYer and a Chartered Professional Accountant. CPA? Seriously? After working in the corporate world for over 10 years, I decided to make a major life change and turn my love of decorating from a hobby into a side hustle.
To make this happen, I enrolled in the Interior Decorating certificate program at George Brown College in Toronto. My graduation in the summer of 2012, coincided with a move back to Calgary and I now split my time between the design and business worlds.
My blog is a place I can share what I’m inspired by, renovations on my 100+ year-old home and decorating projects I’m working on.
What’s the “Wink” in Wink Interiors
Wink represents two things for me. First, it was the nickname of some people that are very important to me but sadly are no longer here. Now, they can still be part of this adventure.
Second, Wink is also my design philosophy. My own interiors are casual and comfortable and are filled with an eclectic mix of furniture and accessories. It’s an unfussy look. It’s a look with layers that makes you want to explore a space. It’s a look with a bit of whimsy that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
